Introducing Vashti, the picture of refined, natural, and timeless beauty and more importantly, my grandmother. From an early age, before I even knew or understood the heritage of her lovely name, I affectionately called her Queenie. I had no idea how fitting this nickname actually was for her.
Vashti has ancient Persian origins, meaning 'the beautiful one.' And Queen Vashti in the Book of Esther is the graceful, dignified queen who stands on principle and refuses to be objectified—much like my Queenie, she had quiet strength, elegance, self-respect, and natural beauty. She and my grandfather loved flowers and plants of all kinds and spent their days growing and tending them. They both instilled in me this love for God's creation and taught me how to care for it and utilize it in my life. Many years down the road, and I am a wife and a mama of four with a love for plants and a passion for stewarding this life well. I seek to take great care of my body and my family and inspire and help others to do the same. I strongly believe that we have been given all that we need in Creation to live full beautiful lives that truly make a difference. Vashti Botanics was born not only as a tribute to this amazing woman and the beauty she portrayed, but out of a deep desire to create truly beautiful, safe, effective products from Creation.
